Trials, tribulations and celebrations

In this course we covered Part 1 of Level 1 (there are two parts to each of the three levels.) This covered the history of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, from Maria Montessori’s observations of child development through the small seed planted, which has grown into this amazing programme by Sofia Cavalletti and Gianna Gobbi, and on to the educational approaches we use in the Atrium. Those attending learned how to give presentations, write album pages and think like a three year old – that can be really difficult!!

We were supported by prayer and with the most wonderful food made and delivered by various parishioners over the days. What a graced-filled contribution – we were all quite overwhelmed by the generosity.

Part 2 will be offered next year, as will another Part 1. I is open to all who have an interest in Christian formation - not just of children - but for themselves. The depth of the material is great learning for us all.

It was a blessing to take part.
