At the session prior to Palm Sunday Liz brought little palm crosses to the Atrium. The children held them up while, complete with Lenten stole, Liz blessed them.

The Liturgy of the Light was also part of our final sessions, with a newly marked Paschal candle and a re-learning of the chant ‘the light of Christ’ responded to by ‘thanks be to God’.

Throughout the Easter season we will repeat this simple procession and chant which ends with the prayer table candle being lit as we sing Alleluia, Alleluia.

This year for the first time some of the older children are ready to take responsibility for the role of cantor – we will report back!
