The last session of Term One for the older group was a chance for imaginations to run around the block!

Fiona  - one of our mothers  - came and taught the children the art of block printing using potatoes and heat set dye on silk.

We look at the Gifts of God in Level 2, so this is the bringing together several of those gifts.

The base shape began as an oblong, quickly enhanced by some judicious carving and creative flair.

Finished pillows

The results were dried, ironed to fix the colour and then a sweatshop set up to complete the little pillows.

The finished results were an instant hit with the ‘artists’ and a source of wonder for their parents!
