Growing in faith

quote from Dorothy Sayers

“A man's fundamental beliefs are to be found, not in his expressed opinions, for to express an opinion is to admit that a contrary opinion may exist - but in his unexpressed assumptions. A thing really believed has passed beyond possibility of discussion and to say 'I believe' is to say 'I doubt'. It is only the insecure who have to be earnest about their faith.”
