- Pastoral conversations and visits
- Funeral plans with several parishioners
- Masonic Village service
- Invited to take several chapel services at Hadlow, Rathkeale and St Matthew’s Collegiate, plus the full school Easter service at St. Matthew’s. The CGS children helped run the Hadlow Pentecost service at Epiphany
- Candlelight Ceremony at the Relay for Life.
- Invited to take the Battle of Britain service in Pahiatua. Several members of the RNZAF there plus good turn out of RSA people – good feed back. Invited to repeat it sometime in Eketahuna.
- September - Took my last service at Metlife Village – hugs, tears and bouquets – it was a privilege to initiate, and then serve this congregation for, I think, 5 years – it may be longer. Mary P, Jenny Hoby and Hugh le Selleur have been wonderful to work with.
- Went as guest to a RE class at Hadlow
- Preached @ St. Matthew’s 8am in May – Holocaust Sunday. Heartening to not only be with the congregation that grew me but to have the support of the St Andrew’s people who attended too.
- Helped to plan, write and print the parish Conciliation service.
- Attended the Archdeaconry meeting and half day retreat with Fr Eddie Condra – extremely interesting with plenty to take away and cogitate on.
- Led Memorial service for James Williams, killed in a car accident on December 30th in USA. Not a happy end to the year.

- Seminar on Ethics at Wellesley School, presented by philosopher Dr. Peter Vardy, Vice Principal of Heythrop College in London.

- See full report of Chicago visit
- Went to lecture in Wellington by Dave Tomlinson of “Re-engaging Christianity” fame - very good.
- Made a retreat to the Star of the Southern Abbey at Kopua with a fellow priest just prior to Advent - a much needed quiet time.
