Taking part in the service

At the Offertory hymn – go to back and take a plate each, go to front and hand along each row – some people will pass it on without putting anything in – they prob have an automatic payment system.

When all is collected wait at back for an indication to come forward or come up during last few lines of the hymn. One carries the two plates the other the basket of food.

The basket is offered first so it can be placed in corner of sanctuary, the plates are then placed on the offertory tray.

You may leave at this point – discuss with your partner how you wish to do this part – or you may wait until the offering prayer is complete. Return to your seats.

At the end of the service collect and replace the books ready for the next time.
